Dusk Corpuscle
Computational Design

Eden is a digital oasis meticulously sculpted using procedural and parametric modeling techniques, where every pixel tells a story.
The Corpuscles are designed with polygon modeling, topological thinking, and procedural modeling. Made in Maya and Grasshopper with non-destructive and reversible workflows (Nurbs,SubD,Mesh).
The Dusk Corpuscle starts as merely a cluster of atoms, forming around a bundle of energy. As the energy multiples it allows for the Dusk cell to harden with maturity. The cell starts to develop umbrella like forms, which create a counterbalance to the weight of the energy. The Dusk cell develops forms to cocoon itself from the harshness of the barren planet. In the next stage, the cell begins to bloom, shedding some of the petal like protection forms - this begins a grand metamorphosis. As the cell settles, it begins to reinforce itself for the final time with life as the energy infrastructure is grown.
In addition to the private nooks, crannies and caves, we can see a series of communal public spaces nestled between the rocky green parts and soft orange parts. This mature forest cell activates as the cells continue to grow details as energy is infused. The more we peer around this cell, we can see the utopia that it is becoming. In full maturity and color, the Dusk Corpuscle is a home to creatures within.
